Barrick Gold Corporation trades on the NYSE with ticker symbol ABX and on the Canadian Stock Exchange with the same ticker symbol. The company is the world’s largest gold producer, with properties spread out throughout the world. The company has stakes in over 25 operating mines spread over five continents. Barrick had over 139 million ounces of gold, over one billion ounces of silver, and 12.7 billion pounds of copper as reserves at the end of 2011. Barricks cash cost per ounce of gold was $460.00 in 2011, while producing 7.7 million ounces. The company expects to produce between 7.3 million and 7.8 million ounces of gold for 2012.
