Emerging markets” refers to those countries where the economies are growing, usually at a faster clip than the industrialized countries. China is an example of an emerging market, as the country’s growth has been more recent. In Asia, emerging markets include Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, India, and Taiwan. Brazil and Chile are emerging markets in Latin America, while the top emerging markets in Eastern Europe are Russia and Poland.
