GOP Republican Debate: Round Two Scheduled for Wednesday

Republican Debate Schedule 2015As the second GOP debate approaches, candidates are gearing up for a showdown between Carly Fiorina and the obstinate frontrunner, Donald Trump. The CNN Republican debate will air on Wednesday September 16th at 8:00 p.m. E.T. Fiorina, an ex-CEO of Hewlett Packard turned Presidential candidate, has come under attack from Donald Trump. The real estate mogul criticized everything from Fiorina’s looks to her business achievements, saying she “goes down as one of the worst (CEOs) ever.” (Source: CNN, September 11, 2015.) Many political observers are expecting a showdown between the two titans of business at the GOP debate on Wednesday.

Other GOP Debate Details

Wednesday night’s affair is bought to us in part by CNN, Salem Radio, and the Reagan Library Foundation. Jake Tapper, host of The Lead with Jake Tapper, is the main moderator. The topics covered in the second GOP debate will range from counterterrorism and the Iran deal to inequality and middle-class wages. If history is any indicator, Trump will break from policy issues to defend against attacks on his character. His remarks on Fiorina are being called sexist; a criticism thrown into sharp relief by the billionaire’s previous spat with Megyn Kelly, a Fox News host that Trump insulted at the first Republican debate. The CNN Republican debate is the first time the two will come face to face. Read More:
