#2 Warren Buffett Stock Pick: BYD Company Limited
Warren Buffett has been known to dislike technology stocks that don’t have a viable business model, not because he is opposed to technology firms, but because he’s in the business of making money and a lack of revenue generation is kind of a deal breaker.
Case in point: Buffett plugged $230 million into a car battery company called BYD. The investment was made in 2008 and constituted 10% of the firm’s valuation. Today, BYD is worth $18.0 billion, meaning that Buffett earned a 671% return on investment.
I hope Berkshire Hathaway shareholders know how lucky they are. Everybody else should just take notes.
